Aakash Shah
Aakash is a Partner at Peak Sustainability Ventures, and leads the investment team and deals across specific sectors at Peak. He also heads partnerships, sourcing and business development at the firm. Aakash has built deep domain expertise across Peak's core sectors, including New Energy, Food Systems, Water, Alternative Materials and Climate Tech. He is actively involved in India's climate space, regularly speaking on panels and at conferences, and has given a TEDx talk on "The 'Hidden Cost' of Everything We Do".
Within Peak's portfolio, Aakash holds Board positions in Chlorohemp, SustLabs, and Brisil, and a Board Observer position in DisperseBio. He is also an Advisor to GDI (Global Development Incubator) South Asia, a Washington D.C.-based global non-profit.
Aakash is an experienced investor and entrepreneur. He has 11 years of VC investment experience across global investment firms, and 7 years of experience as the Co-Founder and CEO of NeonVest, a New York-based tech company he co-founded, which raised multiple rounds of capital and was acquired by AI Turbo in 2024.
Prior to Peak, Aakash headed up the VC arm of Sattva Capital, a Mumbai-based private investment office. Prior to Sattva, he co-led the Asia portfolio at Accion Venture Lab, a Washington D.C.-based global fintech fund. He began his VC journey at Contrarian Partners, a Mumbai-based technology-focused VC fund.
Aakash started his career on the Investment Research team at Aksia, a $160Bn New York-based hedge fund advisory firm. Aakash holds a B.Sc. from NYU Stern School of Business.
