Dhruv Makwana

Dhruv is part of the investment team at Peak, covering energy efficiency, energy storage systems, battery recycling, and critical minerals. He leverages his technical background in Environmental and Petroleum Engineering to conduct sector research, investment evaluation, and portfolio support across these areas.

Previously at Siemens Financial Services in New York, Dhruv supported ESG integration across project finance, structured finance, and corporate lending. He conducted credit and ESG risk assessments for projects spanning across infrastructure, chemicals, energy, utilities, and clean technologies, while also contributing to portfolio emissions accounting and sustainability reporting. He additionally researched energy transition policies and market developments to identify opportunities in renewable infrastructure finance.

Dhruv holds a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University, with a focus on Sustainable Energy, and a Bachelor of Technology in Petroleum Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, where he authored five peer-reviewed publications, including publications in Springer Nature journals and the World Geothermal Congress proceedings.
