Pradip Shah

Pradip was the founder and Managing Director of CRISIL, India's first and largest credit rating agency. Prior to founding CRISIL, he assisted in founding HDFC, India's first retail housing finance company, in 1977. He also helped establish the Indocean Fund in 1994, in association with Chase Capital Partners and Soros Fund Management.
Pradip currently runs IndAsia, a corporate finance and investment advisory business, and GrowTrees, a social initiative to promote biodiversity. He holds an MBA from Harvard University, a B.Com from Bombay University, and is a Chartered Accountant.
