Sam Parker

Sam was appointed in 2015 as the Director of Shell Foundation, a non-profit set up by Shell to enhance access to sustainable energy and transport, which now has 85+ portfolio companies in Africa and Asia. He was formerly an Advisor to IKEA until December 2022.

Prior to Shell Foundation, Sam joined Water & Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) as its first CEO in 2006. In 2014, he won a Skoll Foundation Award for Social Entrepreneurship. Sam now runs FIGURE80, an advisory firm helping social enterprises improve governance. He is a graduate of Oxford University.
